The joint is only as good as the cement. CPVC, PVC and UPVC each need the correct solvent cement — using the wrong one makes a weak joint that can fail. We stock the right grade for every pipe, plus primer, rubber-ring lubricant, pipe sealant, putty and PTFE (Teflon) tape.

Solvent Cement & Adhesives — FAQs
Can I use the same solvent cement for CPVC and PVC?
No — CPVC needs CPVC cement and PVC/UPVC needs PVC cement. The chemistry differs; using the wrong one weakens the joint. Tell us the pipe and we will give the correct cement.
Do I need primer before solvent cement?
For larger or pressure joints, primer cleans and softens the surface for a stronger weld. We stock primer alongside cement.
What do you use on rubber-ring (SWR) joints?
Those use a rubber lubricant, not solvent cement, so the ring seats and seals properly. We stock that too.
